The muB 08 presents 15 national and internacional bands.
The selected bands are the result of a precise selection
proccess which implies their discography, projection and live acts.
The muB 08 bill is already defined and brings to Portugal well-known
names of the international post-rock scene. Through the three days,
lovers of this music style will have the privilege of attending
unforgettable concerts by La Muņeca de Sal (with special guest Anthony Reynolds),
I Like Trains or Your Ten Mofo.
Besides the heads of the bill, several portuguese bands will
step on the muB 08 stage, promising bands who bring to Braga
the best of national post-rock.
This event is characterized for being focused on post-rock and
ambiental music, a pioneer concept in the area.
Post rock is a musical style which comes from the beginning of the 90s,
when some bands started mixing alternative rock elements with jazz,
electronic music and progressive rock.
The Braga Urban Music Festival will take place at an inusual place
for this kind of events, a privileged space which is confirmed as one of
the most important cultural infrastructures of the country,
the Archeology Museum D. Diogo de Souza.
The museum has an area of 17.155 sqf, separated in several zones
which make it possible for the event to flow throughout the day.
The promoters expect an average attendance of 4000 visitors a day.
The doors of the venue will open at 13:00 and close at 2:00;
the main stage opens at 18:00 and concerts will start at 18:00.
All through the evening, several workshops will take place:
theater, dance, capoeira and music, short films sessions at the auditorium,
a laser zone by the gardens, and a commercial area.
Several environmental and cultural associations have been invited to
develop activities and conduct shows during the evenings.
